AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY AND EASEMENT, FRANK
M. ANDERSON ADDITION AND THE G. WILSON SURVEY, TO THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF
FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HERE-WITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1
THAT the following street right-of--way and easement located on Williams Road
and 5-foot wide utility easement abutting Block 2 & 3, Frank M Anderson Subdivision
and the G Wilson Survey, Abstract No 1629, and as more specifically described in
Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
1 A variable width right-of--way dedicated for Williams Road extending from the
south line of Anderson Boulevard to the north line of I H -30 Said right-of--way
abuts Lot 2C, Block 2 and Lot 5, Block 3, Frank M Anderson Subdivision as
recorded in Volume 1255, Page 307, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and
also abutting the G Wilson Survey, Abstract No 1629,
2 A 20' by 20' Public Open Space Easement located at the southwest corner of
Anderson Boulevard and Williams Road Said easement is situated on Lot 2C,
Block 2, Frank M Anderson subdivision as recorded in Volume 1255, Page 307,
Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and
3 A utility easement measuring 5 feet in width and 600 feet in length situated on
Lots 2-A, 2-B and 2-C, Block 2, Frank M Anderson Subdivision as recorded in
Volume 1255, Page 307, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street rights-of--way and
easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating the following
1 A variable width right-of-way dedicated for Williams Road extending from the south line of
Anderson Boulevard to the north line of I H -30 Said right-of-way abuts Lot 2C, Block 2 and Lot
5, Block 3, Frank M. Anderson Subdivision as recorded in Volume 1255, Page 307, Deed
Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and also abutting the G Wilson Survey, Abstract No 1629;
and
2. A 20' by 20' Public Open Space Easement located at the southwest corner of Anderson
Boulevard and Williams Road Said easement is situated on Lot 2C, Block 2, Frank M Anderson
Subdivision as recorded in Volume 1255, Page 307, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas; and,
3 A utility easement measuring 5 feet in width and 600 feet in length situated on Lots 2-A, 2-B and
2-C, Block 2, Frank M Anderson Subdivision as recorded in Volume 1255, Page 307, Deed
Records, Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION.
Mr Vic Verstraete, owner of the subject property, has requested that the City vacate the above
described street right-of-way and easements. The subject right-of-way and easements, acquired by
dedication, are unimproved and contain electrical, gas and telephone utilities. The applicant has made
arrangements for the abandonment of these utility facilities with the respective utility companies.
Reviewing City departments have raised no objections to this request. A satisfactory replat has been
submitted for this request (FS-97-045) The Plan Commission recommended approval of this request
at their meeting of January 22, 1997
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION•
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a $1,962.00 fee satisfies the interest of
the City of Fort Worth in this request.
