HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 12978ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND EXTINGUISHING VARIOUS EASEMENTS LOCATED ON BLOCK 4R, J. P. SMITH'S ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES. IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT the following easements, and as more specifically described in Exhibits A, B, and C, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished 1 20 foot by 20 foot Public Open Space Easement located on Lot 2, Block 4R, J P Smith's Addition as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 1106, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more specifically described in Exhibit A, 2 Variable width utility easement located on Lots 1 & 2, block 4R, J P Smith's Addition as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 1106, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more specifically described in Exhibit B, and 3 15-foot utility easement located on Lot 1, Block 4R, J P Smith's Addition as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 1106, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more specifically described in Exhibit C SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described various easements is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed SECTION 4. Field notes fora 20 foot by 20 foot public open space easement abandonment for Block 4R - J.P Smith's Addition BEING an existing 20 foot by 20 foot public open space easement as recorded by plat filed in Cabinet B, Slide 1106, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and situated in the A. Robinson Survey, Abstract No. 1289 situated in the central part of Fort Worth in Tarrant County, Texas, said easement abandonment being more particularly described as follows. BEGINNING at the northeast corner of Lot 2, Block 4R, J.P Smith's Addition, said point being at the intersection of the west right-of--way line of Henderson Street (a 80' wide public right-of--way) and the southerly right-of--way line of Second Street (a variable width public right-of--way); THENCE South 30°30'29" East, along said west right-of--way line, 20 00 feet; THENCE North 75°30'52" West, leaving said west right-of--way line, 28.28 feet to a point in the aforementioned southerly right-of--way line; THENCE North 59°28'44" East, along said southerly right-of--way line, 20 00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein described tract, said tract containing 200 square feet of land, more or less.
