AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIl'T5 AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT ®F $300,037.30 AND IN THE SEWER
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $115,301.80 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR
THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING A CONTRACT WITH TRI-TECH CONSTRUCTION, INC., FOR UNIT
1 8 AND 12-INCH WATER MAIN AND 8-INCH SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT IN CHESSER
BOYER ROAD (BONNIE BRAE TO NORTH BEACH STREET), WESLEY STREET (CHESSER
BOYER TO FOSSIL DRIVE), FOSSIL DRIVE (WESLEY TO NORTH BEACH); PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THI5 ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES
AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1996-97 and in the Budget of
the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the
amount of $300,037.30 and in the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $115,301.80 from available funds for the
purpose of funding a contract with Tri-Tech Construction, Inc., For unit 1 8 and 12-inch water main and 8-inch sanitary sewer
replacement in Chesser Boyer Road (Bonnie Brae to North Beach Street), Wesley Street (Chesser Boyer to Fossil Drive),
Fossil Drive (Wesley to North Beach).
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a
court of competent junsdichon, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or
parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 12629 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the
same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and
appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly
repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

SANITARY SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT IN CHESSER BOYER ROAD (BONNIE BRAE
TO NORTH BEACH), WESLEY STREET (CHESSER BOYER TO FOSSIL DRIVE) AND
FOSSIL DRIVE (WESLEY TO NORTH BEACH)
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the City Manager to transfer 5415,339 10 from the Water Operating Fund
to the Water Capital Project Fund (5300,037 30) and Sewer Capital Project Fund
(5115,301 80), and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund 15300,037 30) and the Sewer
Capital Projects Fund (5115,301 80) from available funds, and
3 Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Tri-Tech Construction, Inc ,
in the amount of 5388,166 10 and one-hundred fifty (150) calendar days for Unit
18 and 12-inch water main and 8-inch sanitary sewer main replacement in Chesser
Boyer Road (Bonnie Brae to North Beach, Wesley Street (Chesser Boyer to Fossil
Drive) and Fossil Drive (Wesley to North Beach)
DISCUSSION
The Water Department has determined that the water and sewer lines in Chesser Boyer
Road, Wesley Street and Fossil Drive need to be replaced prior to street reconstruction
All three streets are scheduled for reconstruction in conjunction with the City`s 1993
Capital Improvements Program
This project was advertised on January 9, 1997 and January 16, 1997, and the following
bids were received on February 27, 1997

The low bidder (Tri-Tech Construction, Inc 1 is in compliance with the City's M/WBE
Ordinance by committing to 18% M/WBE participation and documenting good faith effort
The City's goal for this project is 28%
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4, Mapsco Pages 63D and 64A
The water contingency for change orders is 514,020 00, and $19,629 00 for associated
construction inspection and survey The sewer contingency for change orders is
55,388 00, and $7,544 00 for associated inspection and survey
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon approval and completion of
recommendation 1, and the adoption of the attached appropriations ordinance, funds will
be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of the Water and Sewer Capital
Projects Funds
