AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A VARIABLE WIDTH UTILITY EASEMENT, SITE 2,
BLOCK 7, MARK IV INDUSTRIAL PARK, TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the utility easement measuring variable width, containing 9,897 square

feet in area located on Site 2, Block 7, Mark IV Industrial Park, as recorded in Volume
388/58, Page 581, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit
A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated,
abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

Volume 388/58, Page 581, county records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Srte 2, Block 7, Mark IV Industrial Park as recorded m
Volume 388/58, Page 581. said county records, said point also being m the west right-of--way line
of Mark IV Parkway (120' right-of--way),

SUBJECT EASEMENT VACATION (VA-96-068) VARIABLE WIDTH UTILITY EASEMENT
RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating a utility easement
containing 9,897 square feet in area located on Site 2, Block 7, Mark IV Industrial Park, as
recorded in Volume 388/58, Page 581, Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION.
Carter & Burgess, Inc , on behalf of Georgia Pacific Corporation, owner of the subject property,
has requested that the City vacate the above described utility easement The subject easement,
acquired by dedication, contains no utility facilities Reviewing City departments and private
utility companies have raised no objections to this request A replat is not required for this
request
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION.
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
