Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 12504ORDINANCE NO __~~~0 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND EXTINGUISHING FOUR (4) SIXTY (60') FOOT WIDE STREET RIGHTS- OF-WAY ALONG PRAIRIE AVENUE, 34TH STREET, LOVING AVENUE AND COLUMBUS AVENUE AND THREE (3) TWENTY (20') FOOT WIDE ALLEY RIGHTS-OF-WAY ALL LOCATED WITHIN THE WORTH HILLS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1 THAT the following street and alley rights-of-way' 1) Prairie Avenue, a sixty (60) foot wide street right-of-way located between 35th Street to the north and 34th Street to the south, as said street is situated between Blocks 1 and 2, Worth Hills Addition, as recorded in Volume 309, Page 60, P R.T C T , 2) 34th Street, a sixty (60) foot wide street right-of-way commencing from the west right-of-way of line of Prairie Avenue and extending eastward to the west right-of-way line of an alley located on Block 11, Worth Hills Addition, as recorded in Volume 309, Page 60, P R.T C T , 3) Loving Avenue, a sixty (60) foot wide street right-of-way located between 35th Street to the north and West Long Avenue to the south, as said street adjoins Blocks 2, 12, 3, and 11, Worth Hills Addition, as recorded in Volume 309, Page 60, P R.T C T , 4) Columbus Avenue, a sixty (60) foot wide street right-of-way located between 34th Street to the north and West Long Avenue to the south, as said street is situated between Blocks 10 and 11, Worth Hills Addition, as recorded in Volume 309, Page 60, P R.T C T , 5) a 20 foot wide alley, extending the entire length of Block 2, Worth Hills Addition, as recorded in Volume 309, Page 60, P R.T C T , 6) a 20 foot wide alley, extending the entire length of Block 11, Worth Hills Addition, as recorded in Volume 309, Page 60, P R.T C T ,and 7) a 20 foot wide alley, adjoining Lots 2 through 9, and Lots 16 through 23, Block 10, Worth Hills Addition, as recorded in Volume 309, Page 60, P R.T C T ,and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and- extinguished SECTION 2 That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street and alley rights-of- way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3 That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4 That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.
