ORDINANCE NO ~ c~l~
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $45,500 AND IN THE STREETS IMPROVEMENTS FUND IN
THE AMOUNT OF $45,500 FROM INCREASED REVENUE FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE REPLACEMENT OF THE KELLER-HASLET
ROAD BRIDGE AT BUFFALO CREEK, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS.
SECTION i.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1995-96 and in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special
Assessments Fund in the amount of $45,500 and in the Streets Improvements Fund in the amount of $45,500 from
increased revenue for the purpose of funding a contract with the Texas Department of Transportation for the
Replacement of the Keller-Haslet Road Bridge over Buffalo Creek.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections,
or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 12074 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending
the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other
ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations
are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, .and it is so ordained.

SUBJECT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE AND APPROVAL OF CONSTRUCTION AND
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE KELLER-HASLET ROAD
BRIDGE AT BUFFALO CREEK
RECOMMENDATION
1 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Special Assessments fund by 545,500, and
2 Authorize the transfer of 545,500 from the Special Assessments fund to the Street
Improvements Fund, and
3 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Street Improvements Fund by 545,500 from increase revenues for the
purpose of replacement of the Keller-Haslet Road Bridge over Buffalo Creek, and
4 Authorize the City Manager to execute a construction and maintenance agreement with the
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the replacement of the Keller-Haslet Road
Bridge over Buffalo Creek
DISCUSSION
Under Title 23, United States Code, as amended by the Intermadal Surface Transportation
Efficiency Act of 1991 (ISTEA), and subsequent Federal legislation, a program entitled Off-State
Systems Federal-Aid Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program was approved by the Texas
Transportation Commission Under this program, bridges are selected on a statewide priority
basis, and the replacement of the Keller-Haslet Road Bridge has been included for construction
funding in the 1996-98 Program The estimated cost of this project is as follows

The City's participation will consist of 20 percent of the actual cost, plus acquisition of any
additional right-of-way and relocation of existing utilities if required, the City's share is currently
estimated at 545,500 Within thirty days of the City's receipt of afully-executed agreement from
TxDOT, the City will pay TxDOT 54,1 10, which represents 10 percent of the estimated cost of
preliminary engineering for the project, plus the indirect cost, to;TxDOT for performing this
service The remainder of the City's share will be sent to TxDOT when construction bids have
been received
