AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A FIVE (5') FOOT WIDE BY ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY
AND EIGHT TENTHS (170 80') FOOT LONG UTILITY EASEMENT,
LOCATED WITHIN THE DEAL PLACE ADDITION AND A SIX (6') FOOT
WIDE BY ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY AND EIGHT TENTHS (170 80') FOOT
LONG UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED WITHIN THE DOROTHY PLACE
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the five (5') foot wide by one hundred seventy and eight tenths (170 80') foot
long utility easement, Lot 6, Block 2, Deal Place Addition, as recorded in Volume 1804,
Page 421, D R.T C T and the six (6') foot wide by one hundred seventy and eight tenths
(170 80') foot long utility easement, Lot 11, Block 1, Dorothy Place Addition, as recorded
in Volume 1805, Page 19, D R.T C T ,and as more specifically described in Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated,
abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easements are hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating the following
utility easements
1 A five (5') foot wide by one hundred seventy and eight tenths (170 80') foot long utility
easement, Lot 6, Block 2, Deal Place Addition, as recorded in Volume 1804, Page 421,

2 A six (6') foot wide by one hundred seventy and eight tenths (170 80') foot long utility
easement, Lot 11, Block 1, Dorothy Place Addition, as recorded in Volume 1805, Page 19,

DISCUSSION
Reverend Walter Lee Sanders, on behalf of Parkside Missionary Church, owner of the subject
property, has requested that the above identified utility easements be vacated in order to
facilitate the construction of a building on the property The subject easement contains no
existing utility facilities Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised
no objections to this request A satisfactory replat has been submitted (FS-95-137)
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT NUMBER 5
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
