HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 12635-~ Ordinance No.~(l~~~~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GRANTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,564 00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE WEATHERIZATION PIGGYBACK PROGRAM, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1995-96 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Fund in the amount of $60,564 00 for the purpose of funding the Weatherization Piggyback Program. SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 12074 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4 This ordinance. shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY s Assis t City ttorney `~~~ j~~ Date ~- ~~ ~~ Adopted Effective .r" City of wort Worth, Texas Mayor and Council Communacation DATE REFERENCE NUMBER LOG NAME PAGE 08/20/96 **C-15610 05PIGGY 1 of 2 SUBJECT WEATHERIZATION PIGGYBACK PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council 1 Authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract totaling 560,564 00 in anticipated funds with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) The 560,564 00 will be used to provide additional weatherization on 166 homes in Tarrant County Homes must be occupied by low-income residents for the contract period of January 26, 1996 through March 31, 1997, and 2 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Fund by up to 560,564 00 from available funds, and 3 Apply indirect costs in accordance with the City Administrative Regulation 3-15 Apply the rate of 9 82%, which represents the most recently approved rate for this department DISCUSSION.
