AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN
THE WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $202,164 50 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING A CONTRACT WITH WILLIAM J SCHULTZ, INC , D/B/A
CIRCLE "C" CONSTRUCTION FOR 36" WATER MAIN EMERGENCY RELOCATION AT
FOREST PARK BLVD AND 10TH; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL
PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for
the Fiscal Year 1995-96 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be
increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund
in the amount of $202,164 50 for the purpose of funding a contract with William J
Schultz, Inc , d/b/a Circle "C" Construction for 36" Water Main Emergency
Relocation at Forest Park Blvd and 10th
SECTION 2
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared
invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions,
sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions
shall be and remain in full force and effect
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 12074 and all other
ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where
the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances
and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior
ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the City Manager to transfer funds from Water and Sewer Operating
Funds to the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 5202,164 50, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 5202,164 50
from increased revenue, and
3 Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with William J Schultz, Inc , d/b/a
Circle "C" Construction in the amount of 5169,175 00 for the 36" Water Main
Emergency Relocation at Forest Park Blvd at 10th Street
DISCUSSION
The work to be performed under this contract consists of relocating a portion of the
existing 36" west side water transmission main, which crosses Forest Park Blvd The
water main is a major feed line to the west side of Fort Worth which has a severe break
under Forest Park Blvd The repair would be extremely difficult without closing the street
The existing water main is located at a depth of 22 ft Relocation of the water main will
place the facility at a depth which can be maintained by City crews

EMERGENCY RELOCATION AT FOREST PARK BLVD AND 10TH
MBE/WBE goal requirements have been waived for this project on an emergency basis,
due to the short construction period needed to have the water main supply line back in
service and to coordinate this construction with that of the S Holly Treatrrlent Plant,
which is scheduled to be in service by May, 1996
In addition to the construction costs 58,458 75 contingency is required for possible
change orders, and 524,530 75 is required for design, inspection, and survey
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon approval and completion of
recommendation 1, and the adoption of the attached appropriations ordinance, funds will
be available in the current capital budget of the Water Capital Projects Fund
