AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A TEN FOOT (10') WIDE DRAINAGE EASEMENT
LOCATED ON LOTS 3 AND 4, BLOCK 17, MIRA VISTA ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF
FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the drainage easement measuring 10 feet in width and containing 2,531 39
square feet, located on Lots 3 and 4, Block 17, Mira Vista Addition as recorded in Cabinet
A, Slide 1595, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described
in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated drainage easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

Field notes fora 10' wide drainage easement abandonment for Mira Vista Addition, Block 17, Lots
3&4
BEING an existing drainage easement as recorded by plat in Cabinet A, Slide 1595, Plat Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, and situated in the Joseph A. Dunham Survey, Abstract No 409, situated
within the southwest part of Fort Worth in Tarrant County, Texas, and embracing a portion of the
tract described in the Deed to Mira Vista Development Corp as recorded in Volume 11572, Page
757, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, said easement abandonment being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows.
BEGINNING at the most westerly northwest corner of Lot 4, Block 17, Mira Vista Addition, as
filed in Cabinet A, Slide 1595, said point also being on the common ownership line of said Mira Vista
Development Corp tract and a tract to Nfira Vista Golf Club L.C as recorded by plat filed m Cabinet
A, Slide 2894, said plat records;
THENCE along said common ownership line the following courses and distances;
North 46° 25' S0" East, a distance of 97 41 feet;
North 88° 38' 40" East, a distance of 65 00 feet;
South 66° 51' 15" East, a distance of 75.32 feet;
South 14° 03' 37" East, a distance of 46 00 feet;
THENCE North 27° 45' 20" West, leaving said common ownership line, a distance of 42 24 feet,
THENCE North 66° 51' 15" West, a distance of 68 19 feet;
THENCE South 88° 38' 40" West, a distance of 58 97 feet,
THENCE South 46° 25' S0" West, a distance of 95 40 feet,
THENCE North 33 ° 04' 40" West, a distance of 10 17 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the
herein described tract, said tract containing 2,531 39 square feet of land, more or less.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating a utility easement
measuring ten feet (10'1 in width and approximately two thousand, five hundred thirty-one and
thirty-nine one hundredths (2,531 39) square feet, located on Lots 3&4, Block 17, Mira Vista
Addition as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 1595, P R T C T
DISCUSSION
Mira Vista Development Corporation, owner of the subject property, has requested that the City
vacate aten-foot (10) foot wide drainage easement The subject easement, acquired by
dedication, contains no utility or drainage facilities Reviewing City departments and private
utility companies have raised no objections to this request A replat is not required for this
request
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
