AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A FIFTEEN FOOT (15') WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED ON LOTS 1 AND 23, BLOCK 3, THE VILLAGES OF
STONEGATE TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING
FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVI®ING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1
THAT the utility easement measuring 15 feet in width and 70 feet in length,
situated on Lot 1, Block 3, The Villages of Stonegate as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide
1686, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and also situated on Lot 23, Block 3, The
Villages of Stonegate as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 2993, Plat Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

COUNTY, PLAT RECORDS AND ALSO BEING SITUATED IN LOT 23, BLOCK 3, THE

COUNTY PLAT RECORDS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND
BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT A 1/2" IRON ROD FOUND AT THE SOUTHWESTERLY CORNER OF
SAID LOT 1, SAID ROD ALSO BEING ON THE EASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
RIVERWOOD TRAIL;

LOCATED ON LOTS 1 AND 23, BLOCK 3, THE VILLAGES OF STONEGATE
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating a utility easement
measuring fifteen feet (15') in width and seventy feet (70') in length The subject easement is
situated on Lots 1 and 23, Block 3, The Villages of Stonegate as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide
1686, P R T C T ,and also situated on Lot 23, Block 3, The Villages of Stonegate, as recorded
in Cabinet A, Slide 2993, P R T C T
DISCUSSION
Stonegate Alamo Partners, L P , owner of the subject property, has requested that the City
vacate afifteen-foot (15) foot wide utility easement The subject easement, acquired by
dedication, contains underground electrical facilities which will be required to be relocated at the
applicant's expense No other utilities exist within the subject easement Reviewing City
departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request A
satisfactory replat has been submitted
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
