AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE
GRANTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,000 00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE
BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER CONTROL PROGRAM THROUGH A GRANT FROM THE
TARRANT COUNTY CHAPTER OF THE SUSAN G. KOMEN BREAST FOUNDATION,
PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF
PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1995-96 and in the Budget
of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Fund in the amount
of $6,000 00 for the purpose of funding the Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program through a grant from the Tarrant
County Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Foundation.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by
a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions,
sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 12074 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending
the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances
and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby
expressly repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

SUBJECT BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER CONTROL PROGRAM CONTRACT RENEWAL
WITH TARRANT COUNTY
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the City Manager to accept and execute a contract with Tarrant
County in an amount not to exceed 56,000, establishing the Fort Worth
Public Health Department as a subcontracting service provider for the
Tarrant County Health Department's Breast and Cervical Control Program
(BCCCP) from the period of July 1, 1996 to June 30, 1997, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts
and appropriations in the Grants Fund by 56,000 from available funds
DISCUSSION
•
Since May of 1993, the City of Fort Worth has participated in the Texas Department of
Health's Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program (BCCCP) as asub-contracting service
provider Tarrant County administers the BCCCP grant contract Through this program,
women with incomes below 200% of poverty and with no access to third party
reimbursement mechanisms are provided breast and cervical cancer screening and
diagnostic services
The City of Fort Worth provides clinical breast exams and cervical cancer screenings at
specified clinics throughout the city Reimbursements will be made to the City by Tarrant
County utilizing BCCCP and funds received by the County from the Tarrant County
Chapter of the Susan G Komen Breast Foundation
Reimbursements will be made according to the following fee schedule
