AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED IN THE PHASE
VI, PARK GLEN ADDITION. TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the fifty (50) foot wide by one hundred sixty-five (165 0) foot long segment
of Capital Reef Road located north of Lake Mead Trail, said street being located in Phase
VI, Park Glen Addition, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 1230, County Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of-way is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SAVE AND EXCEPT
that easements are retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
CAPITAL REEF ROAD TO BE VACATED
BEING a strip of land, 50 feet wide situated in the Phillip Green Survey,
Abstract No. 566, Tarrant. County, Texas and being all of Capital Reef Road as
shown on plat of Phase VI, Park Glen Addition and recorded in Cabinet A, Slide
Number 1230, County Records, Tarrant County, Texas said strip being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Lot 6, Block 69, said Phase VI, Park Glen
Addition, said point being in the northerly right-of-way line of Lake Mead Trail;
THENCE S 79°36'22"W, 50.00 feet with' said northerly right-of-way line, to the
east line of Lot 26, Block 68, Phase VI, Park Glen Addition;
THENCE N 10°23'38"W, 165.00 feet with said east line;
THENCE N 79°36.22"E, 50.00 feet;
THENCE S 10°23'38"E, 165.00 feet the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 8,250
square feet or 0.189 acres of land, more or less.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating a fifty (50) foot
wide by ane hundred sixty-five (165 0) foot long segment of Capital Reef Road, north of Lake
Mead Trail, located in Phase VI, Park Glen Addition, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 1230,
County Records, Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION
Hillwood Development Corporation, owner of all abutting property, has requested that the City
vacate the above described street right-of-way The right-of-way, acquired by dedication,
contains water and sewer utilities The vacated right-of-way will be retained as a utility
easement Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objections
to this request A satisfactory replat has been submitted This request was recommended for
approval by the City Plan Commission on March 27, 1996
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT NUMBER 4
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The vacated right-of-way will be dedicated to the City of Fort Worth for park land No exchange
of funds will occur
