AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, 4500 BLOCK OF
SHERRIL STREET EAST OF HULEN STREET AT VICKERY
BOULEVARD, FACTORY PLACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:.
SECTION 1.
THAT the 55 foot wide section of right-of-way containing 10,340 square feet
dedicated for Sherrill Street, situated adjacent #o Lots 4A1 and 10, Block 7, Factory
Place Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-157, Page 87, and Volume 388-212, Page
45, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of-way is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That a(I ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating a 55-foot wide
section of right-of-way containing 10,340 square feet dedicated for Sherrill Street The subject
street right-of-way is situated adjacent to Lots 4A1 and 10, Block 7, Factory Place Addition, as
recorded in Volume 388-157, Page 87, and Volume 388-212, Page 45, P R T C T
DISCUSSION.
Mr Robert Merrill of Walker Financial Corporation, owner of all abutting property, has requested
that the City vacate the above described street right-of-way The subject street, acquired by
dedication, contains water, sewer, gas, and cable facilities Easements will be required to be
dedicated on the replat of the subject property for existing utility facilities, or acceptable
arrangements will be made for the relocation and abandonment of said utilities Reviewing City
departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request This request
was recommended for approval by the City Plan Commission on July 24, 1996 A satisfactory
replat has been submitted (FS-96-118)
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION.
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a 520,163 00 fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
