AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT
MEASURING 25 FEET IN WIDTH AND 394 45 FEET IN LENGTH, TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION
OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the drainage and utility easement measuring 25 feet in width and 394 45
feet in length, as recorded in Volume 8172, Page 1960, Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and
permanently closed and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated drainage and utility
easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

TEXAS AND BEING A PORTION OF THAT TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO
HILLWOOD/PARK GLEN LTD RECORDED IN VOLUME 9357, PAGE 344 OF DEED
RECORDS TARRANT COUNTY TEXAS AND BEING A PORTION OF THE CERTAIN
DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT RECORDED IN VOLUME 8172, PAGE 1960
OF~SAID DEED RECORDS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY
METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS
COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAID HILLWOOD TRACT,
THENCE N 89°34'55"E, 656 40 FEET, WITH THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID HILLWOOD
TRACT TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING ,SAID POINT OF BEGINNNING BEING THE
BEGINNING OF ANON-TANGENT CURVE TO THE LEFT,
THENCE WITH SAID NON-TANGENT CURVE TO THE LEFT, AN ARC DISTANCE OF
25 73 FEET, THROUGH A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 00°53'17", HAVING A RADIUS OF
1660 00 FEET, THE LONG CHORD OF WHICH BEARS S 14°05'40"E,
THENCE N 89°34'55"E, 394 15 FEET,
THENCE N 00°04'44"E, 25 00 FEET,
THENCE S 89°34'55"W, 388 15 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING AND

RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating a drainage &
utility easement measuring 25 feet in width and 394 45 feet in length as recorded in Volume
8172, Page 1960, D R T C T
DISCUSSION.
Gary D Sheffield of Sheffield Development Company, Inc ,owner of the subject property, has
requested that the City vacate the above described drainage & utility easement The subject
easement, acquired by dedication, contains no drainage or utility facilities Reviewing City
departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request A replat is
not required for this request
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION.
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
