Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance 12007ORDINANCE NO ~~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND EXTINGUISHING TWO STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY LOCATED WITHIN THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF FORT WORTH OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1 THAT the street right-of-way located at Pecan Street, being a segment measuring sixty (60) feet in width and two hundred (200) feet in length and the street right-of-way located at East Fifth Street, being a segment measuring sixty (60) feet in width and approximately three hundred twenty-nine (329) feet in length, be and the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities SECTION 3 That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4 That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.
