AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED
WITHIN THE HUNTINGTON VILLAGE ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the seven inches along the south edge of a 10' wide drainage and utility
easement located along the north property line of Lot 8, Block 1, Huntington Village
Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-167, Page 81, Piat Records of Tarrant County,
Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and
extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated drainage and utility
easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating seven inches
along the south edge of a 10' wide drainage and utility easement located along the north
property line of Lot 8, Block 1, Huntington Village Addition as recorded in Volume 388-167, Page
81, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION
Kevin Pittman, owner of the subject property, has requested that the City vacate seven inches
of the above described drainage and utility easement due to an encroachment of the existing
residence into the easement
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT NUMBER 4
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
