AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING TWO DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED
WITHIN THE OVERTON WEST ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the 10' wide by approximately 632' long utility easement
located along the east property line of Lot 2, Block D, and a 29'
wide by approximately 240' long east west drainage and utility
easement located centrally within Lot 2, Block D, all within the
Overton West Addition, as recorded in Volume 388/92, Page 23,
P.R.T.C.T., and as more specifically described in Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the
same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
utility and drainage easements is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

SUBJECT VACATION OF TWO DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS OVERTON WEST
ADDITION, BLOCK D, LOT 2 (V-95-032)
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 10' wide by
approximately 632' long utility easement located along the east property line of Lot 2, Block D,
and a 29' wide by approximately 240' long east west drainage and utility easement located
centrally within Lot 2, Block D, all within the Overton West Addition as recorded in Volume
388/92, Page 23, P R T C T
DISCUSSION
James Kasson, surveyor with Carter & Burgess Inc , on behalf of Trammel Crow Development,
has requested that the City Council vacate the above described utility and drainage easements
as further delineated in the attached field notes and on the attached maps The utility and
drainage easements are being vacated in order to accommodate a proposed multi-family
development on the subject property Reviewing City departments and private utility companies
have raised no objections to this request A satisfactory replat has been submitted
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT NUMBER 3
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
