AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN
THE WATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,280 00 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF FUNDING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH FSB/PARKER-CROSTON
FOR STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND WATER AND SEWER REPLACEMENTS ON WALES
AVENUE (WALTON TO TRAIL LAKE); PROVIDING FOR. A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL
PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for
the Fiscal Year 1994-95 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be
increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund
iri the amount of $5,280 00 for the purpose of funding an engineering agreement
with FSB/Parker Croston for street reconstruction and water and sewer replacements
on Wales Avenue (Walton to Trail Lake)
SECTION 2
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared
invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions,
sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions
shall be and remain in full force and effect
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 11645 and all other
ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where
the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances
and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior
ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained

SUBJECT APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCES AND AWARD OF ENGINEERING SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH FSB/PARKER-CROSTON FOR STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND
WATER AND SEWER REPLACEMENTS ON WALES AVENUE (WALTON TO TRAIL
LAKE)
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Authorize the City Manager to transfer 516,356 00 from Water and Sewer
Operating Fund to the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 55,280 00 and
to the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 511,076 00, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinances increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 55,280 00 and
the Sewer Capital Projects Fund in the amount of 511,076 00 from increased
revenue, and
3 Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering services agreement with
FSB/Parker-Croston for a fee not to exceed 530,140 00 to prepare plans,
specifications and contract documents for street, water and sanitary sewer facilities
for Wales Avenue (Walton to Trail Lake)
DISCUSSION
The 1993 Capital Improvement Program included funds for the reconstruction of Wales
Avenue (Walton to Trail Lake)
The recommended contract will provide for the preparation of plans, specifications and
contract documents for paving, water and sewer facilities necessary for the reconstruction
of these facilities
FSBlParker-Croston proposes to perform the design work for this project for a fee not to
exceed 530,140 00, of which 527,940 00 will be paid on a lump sum basis and
52,200 00 as reimbursable expenses
Department of Engineering project management requires an additional 52,658 00 for
coordination of the design phase of the water and sewer on this project
FSB/Parker-Croston is in compliance with the City's DBE policy by committing to 30 9°l0
DBE participation
This project is located in DISTRICT 6, Mapsco 89-Q and U

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon approval and completion of
recommendation No 1, and the adoption of the attached appropriations ordinance, funds
will be available in the current capital budget of the Water and Sewer Capital Project
Funds and the Street Improvements Fund
