AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF
$170,821.00 FROM INCREASED REVENUE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
FUNDING THE DIRECT COSTS FOR THE MAINTENANCE, OPERATION,
AND SEASONAL COLOR PLANTINGS FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FOR
BURNETT PARK, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING
THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND
REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1994-95 and in
the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Special Trust Fund in the amount of $170,821.00 from increased revenue for the purpose of funding the direct
costs of maintenance, operation, and seasonal color plantings for a period of one year for Burnett Park.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any
reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the
remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and
remain in, full force and effect.
..- SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 11645 and all other ordinances and appropriations
amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with
such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances
and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
1 Accept a contribution from the Downtown Fort Worth, Inc in the amount of 5170,821 00
to pay the City for the direct costs for the maintenance, operation, and seasonal color
plantings for a period of one year for Burnett Park, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations by 5170,821 in Special Trust Fund from increased revenue, and
3 Authorize the use of these funds to offset the direct cost for maintenance, operation and
seasonal color planting for Burnett Park
DISCUSSION
DTFW, Inc has authorized a contribution to the City of Fort Worth in the amount of 5170,821
for the total estimated cost of operation, maintenance and seasonal color plantings for a one year
period for Burnett Park The operation includes three seasonal color plantings with required soil
amenities such as fertilizer, peat moss and pesticides Also included are water treatment
chemicals, mechanical repairs and utilities as well as special seasonal lighting and winter
overseeding of turf All labor costs are funded by this grant
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and
adoption of the attached appropriations ordinance, the funds required for this expenditure will
be available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the Special Trust Fund The
Parks and Community Services Department is responsible for collection and deposit of these
funds
