AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED WITHIN THE
F.W.O.H. ADDITION OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the portion of Mattison Avenue, between Haskell Avenue
and Montgomery Street, located adjacent to Block 1, Lot AR,
F.W.O.H. Addition, as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 504, P.R.T.C.T.;
and Block 2, Lots 6R,5R, and 10-14, Zihlman's Addition, as recorded
in Volume 309,. Page 70, P.R.T.C.T. and as more specifically
described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That theffee to the land in the above described vacated street
right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent
owner as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
retained for any and all existing and prospective utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4,
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a portion of
Mattison Avenue, between Haskell Avenue and Montgomery Street, located adjacent to Block
1, Lot AR, F W O H Addition, as recorded in Cabinet B, Slide 504, P R T C T ,and Block 2, Lots
6R, 5R, and 10-1'4, Zihlman's Addition, as recorded in Volume 309, Page 70, P R T C T
DISCUSSION
Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas, a division of Osteopathic Health System of Texas, with
consent of all owners of all abutting property, has requested that the City vacate the above
described street right-of-way in order to enable future development of the hospital facility The
subject street right-of-way will be retained as a utility easement on the replat of the subject
property for maintenance of existing utility facilities Reviewing City departments and private
utility companies have raised no objections to this request A satisfactory replat has been
submitted
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT NUMBER 7
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a ninety thousand dollar
(590,000 00) fee satisfies the interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
