AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN
THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,100 00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
FUNDING THE COWTOWN BRUSH UP PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND
REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments
for the Fiscal Year 1995-96 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there
shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special
Trust Fund in the amount of $2,100 00 for the purpose of funding the Cowtown
Brush Up Project
SECTION 2
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared
invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions,
sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions
shall be and remain in full force and effect
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 12074 and all other
ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where
the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances
and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior
ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained

SUBJECT APPROPRIATIONS OF COWTOWN BRUSH UP PROJECT CONTRIBUTIONS
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations by 52,100 00 in the Special Trust Fund, from increased revenues, and
2 Approve the expenditure of 52,100 00 in the Special Trust Fund for those expenses, as
detailed below, related to "Cowtown Brush Up" 1995 and future Cowtown Brush Up Paint-
A-Thons
DISCUSSION
On October 14, 1995, the Department of Housing sponsored the "Cowtown Brush Up" 1995
Paint-A-Thou Seventy-five (75) homes belonging to primarily low-income elderly citizens were
painted by volunteer teams formed by civic, community, business, and neighborhood
organizations Additional contributions received from Whiteco Outdoor Advertising (5100 00),
Harris Methodist Health Plan (51,000 00), and the Xerox Corporation (51,000 00) will be used
toward defraying the cost of painting supplies, sponsoring additional houses, volunteer parties
and administrative expenses related to this project and future "Cowtown Brush Up" Paint-A-
Thons
This program affects COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 AND 9
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon completion of the above recommendations the
funds required for this project will be available in the current operating budget of the Special
Trust Fund The Department of Housing is responsible for the collection and deposit, to the
Special Trust Fund, of all donations received toward this program
