ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING AN ALLEY EASEMENT LOCATED WITHIN THE
PATILLO ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the four (4) foot wide by approximately one hundred
thirty-two point seventy-seven (132.77) foot long alley easement
located on Lot 62-R, Block 10, Patillo Addition, as recorded in
Volume 388-195, Page 2, P.R.T.C.T., and as more specifically
described in attached Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated
herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated alley
easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner
as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained for
any and all existing and prospective utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

SIIBJECT VACATION OF AN ALLEY EASEMENT PATILLO ADDITION, BLOCK 10, LOT 62-R
(ALLEN STREET, WEST OF SOUTH MAIN STREET) (V-93-44)
RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 4-foot wide by
approximately 132 77 ft long easement located on Lot 62-R, Block 10, Patillo Addition
DISCUSSION
Mr Barry Hudson, a consultant representing JCS Investments, Inc , owner of the subject
property, has requested that the City Council vacate the above-described easement established
for the future expansion of the adjacent alley at such time as the existing building is removed
from the subject property When the .subject property was replatted, it was determined that a
20 ft wide alley to serve commercial property is required under the City Subdivision Regulations
This required the dedication of an additional four feet of alley right-of-way along the east side
of the existing alley at time of replat Since the existing property contained a structure within
the proposed area to be dedicated for alley right-of-way, a 4-foot alley easement was established
on the subject replat Since that time, no redevelopment of the property has occurred and the
existing alley easement obscures clear title to the property for the purposes of redevelopment
of the existing structure Therefore, it is requested that the City Council vacate the platted 4-~
foot easement as identified on the subject replat Reviewing City departments and private utility
companies have raised no objections to this request
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9
FISCAL INFORMATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
