HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 115201 t• YU • ORDINANCE NO AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,900.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM UNION PACIFIC AND NATIONS BANK FOR THE KIDS CODE BLUE PROGRAM, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS• SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1993- 94 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of $3,900.00 for the purpose of accepting a donation from Union Pacific and Nations Bank for the Kids Code:Blue Program. SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 11379 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY City Attorney Date ~- ~a -~ Adopted ~ ~~ ~' ~'~ Effective City of Fort Worth, Texas Mayor and Council Communication DATE REFERENCE NUMBER LOG NAME PAGE 03/22/94 G10597 35UNION 1 of 1 SUBJECT DONATION FROM UNION PACIFIC AND NATIONS BANK FOR THE KIDS CODE BLUE PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council 1 Accept the donation of $3,900 00 of which 53,600 00 is from Union Pacific and 5300 00 from Nations Bank for use by the Kids CODE BLUE program, and 2 Adopt the attached supplemental appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund by 53,900 00 from increased revenues DISCUSSION Union Pacific wishes to donate 53,600 00 to the Rosemont Middle School Kids CODE BLUE program This very generous donation will be used to purchase academic study guides, pencils, paper notebooks, certificates and refreshments Additionally, these funds will be used as incentives to provide transportation for students to activities and for awards to outstanding students Sylvia Monsivais, Banking Center President of Nations Bank/South Fort Worth has presented to the Police Department a generous donation of 5300 00 for the Kids CODE BLUE program These funds will be used to support the program where needed FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon approval and completion of recommendations 1 and 2, funds will be available in the current operating budget of the Special Trust Fund LW m ~.,, ~, .
