ORDINANCE NO ~,I-~~0~
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $62,508.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING A GIFT
FROM THE FULLER FOUNDATION INC., TO FUND OPERATION
AND MAINTENANCE BY THE BOTANIC GARDEN, PROVIDING
FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE
CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL
PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City depaxtments for the Fiscal Year
1993-94 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of $62,508.00 for the purpose of accepting a gift
from the Fuller Foundation Inc. to fund a groundskeeper and gardener position, maintenance, supplies,
equipment and utilities for the Botanic Garden.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or
void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no
way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said
remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 11379 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are
in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting
provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage,
and it is so ordained.

SUBJECT ACCEPTANCE O-F GIFT FROM THE FULLER FOUNDATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF
FUNDING A GROUNDSKEEPER, AND GARDENER POSITION, MAINTENANCE,
SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT AND UTILITIES FOR THE BOTANIC GARDEN
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Accept a gift from the Fuller Foundation, Inc in the amount of $62,508 00 for the purpose
of maintaining the Fuller Garden in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden for a period of twelve
(12) months, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing by 562,508 00 estimated receipts
and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund from increased revenue, and
3 Approve the expenditure of 562,508 00 in the Special Trust Fund for the purpose of
funding one Gardener position, one Groundskeeper position, maintenance, supplies,
equipment and utilities at the Botanic Garden
DISCUSSION
The Fuller Foundation, Inc has announced a gift of 562,508 00 to the Parks and Community
Services Department to fund for twelve (12) months the salary and benefits of a Gardener II and
Groundskeeper li position, as well as funds for supplies, equipment and utilities to maintain the
Fuller Garden in the Botanic Garden The Fuller Foundation has announced its intention to
contribute in the future to continue the funding of these positions, maintenance, supplies,
equipment and utilities
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon approval of the attached appropriations
ordinance, funds required for this expenditure will be available in the current operating budget
of the Special Trust Fund
