AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE PARK AND RECREATION
IMPROVEMENTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,800.00 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM WINN-DIXIE,
INC., FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE PLAYING FIELDS AT
SYCAMORE PARK, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year
1993-94 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Park and Recreation Improvements Fund in the amount of $6,800.00 for the
purpose of accepting a donation from Winn-Dixie, Inc., for improvements to the playing fields at
Sycamore Park.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or
void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no
way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said
remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 11379 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are
in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting
provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage,
and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Clty Council
1 Accept a donation of 56,800 00 from Winn-Dine Texas, Inc ,and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Park and Recreation Improvements Fund ]n the amount of 56,800 00
from increased revenues, and
3 Authorize the Parks and Community Services Department to spend the donated funds for
improvements to the playing fields at Sycamore Park
DISCUSSION

On November 18, 1993, the Parks and Community Services Department was approached by
Winn-Dlxle Texas, Inc (Winn-Dixie) with an offer to donate 56,800 for field improvements at
Sycamore Park As part of the acceptance agreement, Winn-Dixie understands that the
improvements made with the money will become City of Fort Worth property and listed as part
of the inventory for this park
At its regular meeting on July 19, 1994, the Parks and Community Services Advisory Board
voted to endorse staff's recommendatlori to the City Council to accept a donation of 56,800
from Winn-Dixie Texas, Inc
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriations
ordinance, funds required fior this expenditure will be available, as appropriated, in the capital
budget of the Park and Recreation Improvements Fund
