AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED WITHIN THE
BANDAGE ADDITION IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the 16 foot wide utility easement located between Cooper
Street and West Terrell Street in Block 10, Bandage Addition, as
recorded in Volume 388-214, page 9, P.R.T.C.T., and as more
specifically described in Exhibit A attached hereto, be and the
same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
16-FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT
REQUESTED FOR VACATION
BEING a 16=foot wide strip of land located in the SARAH GRAY
JENNINGS SURVEY, Abstract No. 844 and the WILLIAM WELCH SURVEY,
Abstract No. 1644, Tarrant County, Texas and being all that
certain 16-foot wide utility easement retained within Lots 1R-4R,
Block 10, Sandidge Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas according to the plat recorded in Volume 388-214,
page 9 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of said easement lying in the
South right-of-way line of Cooper Street and lying West 100.00
feet along said right-of-way line from an "x" cut in concrete at
its intersection with the West right-of-way line of South Lake
Street;
THENCE SOUTH, 212.00 feet along the East line of said easement to
the Southeast corner thereof lying in the North right-of-
way line of West Terrell Avenue;
THENCE WEST, 16.00 feet along the said North right-of-way line of
West Terrell Avenue to the Southwest corner of said
Easement;
THENCE NORTH, 212 00 feet along the West line of said easement to
the Northwest corner thereof lying in the aforesaid South
right-of-way line of Cooper Street;
THENCE EAST, 16.00 feet along the said South right-of-way line of
Cooper Street to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing 0.078
acre (3,392 square feet) of land.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 16 foot wide
utility easement located between Cooper Street and West Terrell Street in Block 10, Bandage
Addition
DISCUSSION
Harris Methodist Hospital, owner of all adjacent property, has requested that the City Council
vacate the above-described utility easement, as further delineated on the attached map, for the
purpose of development of the subject property Reviewing City departments and private utility
companies have raised no objections to this request A satisfactory replat has been submitted
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT #9
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee satisfies the
interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request
