AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING A DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED WITHIN THE
SANTA FE SOUTHWEST INDUSTRIAL PARK TO THE CITY OF FORTH
WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the fifteen (15) foot wide drainage easement located on
Lot 2-B-2, Block 1~Santa Fe Southwest Industrial Park, as recorded
in Cabinet A, Slide 1151, P.R.T.C.T., and as more specifically
described in attached Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated
herein, be and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently
closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated
drainage easement is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

BEING all that certain tract or parcel of land out of the Joseph B McDermitt Survey,
Abstract No 1063, in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a portion
of 2.9896 acres Lot 2-B-2, Block 1, Santa Fe Southwest Industrial Park, an addition to the
City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide No. 1151 of the
Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas,
COMMENCING at a 'h" iron rod found at the Northeast corner of said Lot 2-B-2, Block
1, Santa Fe Southwest Industnal Park, same being the Southeast corner of Lot 2-A, Block
1, Santa Fe Southwest Industrial Park, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 388-161, Page 89 of the Plat Records of Tan•ant
County, Texas;
THENCE S 86°29'10" W along the common line of said Lots 2-B-2 and 2-A, 203.33 feet to
the POINT OF BEGINNING on the East line of an e3asting 15' Drainage Easement as
indicated on said Plat of Lot 2-B-2, "
THENCE S 00°21'05" E along the East line of said 15" Drainage Easement, 54 72 feet to
a point for curve to the right, said curve having a chord beanng and distance of S 16°16'15"
W, 61.50 feet;
THENCE Southwesterly with said curve to the right and the East hne of said 15' Drainage
Easement, said curve having a central angle of 33°14'40", a radius of 107.50 feet, an arc
length of 62.37 feet to the point of reverse curve to the left, said curve having a chord
bearing and distance of S 16°16'24" W, 52.91 feet;
THENCE Southwesterly with said curve to the left and the East line of said 15' Drainage
Easement, said curve having a central angle of 33°14'23", a radius of 92.50 feet, an arc length
of 53 66 feet to a point for corner in the South line of said Lot 2-B-2, same being the North
line of Lot 1-R-1, Block 1, Santa Fe Southwest Industnal Park, an addition to the City of
Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 388-161, Page 39 of the Plat
Records of Tarrant County, Texas, said point being S 89°35'20" W, 235 94 feet from the
Southeast Corner of said Lot 2-B-2, and S 89°35'20" W, 323.54 feet from the most Northerly
Northeast corner of said 1-R-1,
THENCE S 89°35'20" W along the common line of said Lot 2-B-2 and Lot 1-R-1, 15 00 feet
to a point for corner in the West line of Bald 15' Drainage Easement;
THENCE N 00°21'05" W along the West line of said 15' Drainage Easement, 0.01 feet to
a point for curve to the right, said curve having a chord beanng and distance of N 16°16'15"

the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 2,555 square feet or 0.0587 acres of land, more
or less.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached ordinance vacating a 15
ft. wide drainage easement located on Lot 2-B-2, Block 1, Santa Fe Southwest Industrial
Park.
DISCUSSION:
The Educational Employees' Credit Union, owner of the subject property, has requested
that the City vacate the above-described drainage easement (exhibit attached). This
drainage easement is being relocated for the purpose of providing a more usable
development site for new construction of a credit union facility. Reviewing City
departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request.
A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 6.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar fee
satisfies the interest of the City of Fort Worth in this request.
