ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $750 00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING
DONATIONS TO FUND THE PARK AND RECREATION GOLD
MEDAL VIDEO; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1992-
93 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and
appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of $750.00 for the purpose of accepting donations
to fund the Park and Recreation Gold Medal Video.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or
void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no
way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said
remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 11379 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are
in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting
provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage,
and it is so ordained.

RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Accept a donation of 5500 00 from the Junior League of Fort Worth, and
2 Accept a donation of 5250 00 from the Fort Worth Zoological Association for the purpose
of funding, in part, the cost of producing a video presentation of the Park and Recreation
Department
3 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations. by $750 00 in the Special Trust Fund from increased revenues
4 Authorize the expenditure of 5750 00 to cover part of the video production expense in the
Special Trust Fund
DISCUSSION
A fifteen minute video presentation is required of each of the four finalists for the National Gold
Medal Award presented by the National Sports Foundation, Inc , at the National Recreation and
Park Association Annual Congress
The Junior League of Fort Worth has donated 5500 00 toward the expense of producing the
video The Fort Worth Zoological Association has donated 5250 00 for the same purpose With
in-kind assistance from KXAS Channel 5 and from the~City of Fort Worth Community Cable
Television Office, the Park and Recreation Department was able to produce this video at a cost
of 51,250 00 for supplies and services
At its meeting on June 15, 1993, the Park and Recreation Advisory Board recognized these
organizations with certificates of appreciation

FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION.
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriations
ordinance, funds required for this expenditure will be available in the current operating budget
of the Special Trust Fund
