HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 11234 Ordinance No -~~~ y~L~~- AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000 00 INCREASED REVENUES FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM COLONIAL COUNTRY CLUB PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1992-93 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the amount of $2,000.00 in the Special Trust Fund from increased revenue for the purpose of accepting a donation from Colonial Country Club for youth programs at the Log Cabin Village. SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgement shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 11151 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations; in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to: 1. Accept a donation in the amount of $2,000 00 from Colonial Country Club for youth programs at the Log Cabin Village, and 2. Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by $2,000.00 in the Special Trust Fund from increased revenues, and 3. Authorize the expenditure of $2,000..00 from the Trust Fund for youth programs at Log Cabin Village. DISCUSSION: In May 1992 the Park and Recreation Department initiated discussions with representatives of Colonial Countr,,y Club encouraging their support of youth programs at the Log Cabin Village On December 23, 1992 the Department was notified that a donation in the amount of $2,000.00 had been approved by the Colonial Country Club's Board of Directors. The $2,000 00 will be used to pay the entrance fees for school children visiting Log Cabin Village who are unable to afford the admission fee. FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriations ordinance funds for the youth programs above will be available in the operating budget of the Special Trust Fund.
