ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT
OF $4,400 00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR
THE COWTOWN BRUSH-UP PROJECT, PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE
OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS.
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1993-94
and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations
in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of $4,400 00 for the purpose of accepting donations for the
Cowtown Brush-up Project.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for
any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair
the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions
shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 11379 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions
of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it
is so ordained

SUBJECT ACCEPTANCE OF COWTOWN BRUSH-UP PROJECT CONTRIBUTIONS
RECOMMENDATION.
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to
1 Accept donations totaling 54,400 00 from Alliance Development Company, 51,500 00,
Bank United, 51,000 00, NationsBank, 51,000 00, Fidelity Bank, 5500 00, RICCA
Chemical Company, 5250 00, Senator Mike Moncrief, 5100 00, and Target (Hurstl,
550 00, to defray the cost of the "Cowtown Brush-Up" 1993 campaign, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and
appropriations by 54,400 00 in the Special Trust Fund, from increased revenues, and
3 Approve the expenditure of 54,400 00 in the Special Trust Fund for those expenses, as
detailed below, related to "Cowtown Brush-Up" 93
DISCUSSION
On October 16, 1993, the Housing and Human Services Department '(H&HS) sponsored the
"Cowtown Brush-Up" paint-a-thou This is an annual event held every October Eighty (80)
homes belonging to primarily low-income elderly citizens were painted by volunteer teams formed
by civic, community, business, and neighborhood organizations. All contributions received are
used toward defraying the cost of painting supplies, sponsoring additional houses, volunteer
parties and administrative expenses related to this project This program was operated in
Council Districts 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION.
The Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon completion of recommendations 1 and 2,
sufficient funds for this project will be available in the Special Trust Fund The Department of
Housing and Human Services is responsible for the collection and deposit, to the Special Trust
Fund, of all donations received toward this program
