Y+ ORDINANCE N0. 35,5 3'~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING AND EXTINGUISHING STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY AND EASEMENTS LOCATED WITHIN THE SYCAMORE GOLF COURSE AREA OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT the following street rights-of-way and easements located within the Sycamore Golf Course Area within the City of Fort Worth, Texas, each as more specifically described in attached Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein, be and the same are vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished: 1} The forty (40) foot wide street right-of-way of East Broadway Street (formerly Sunrise Street} from the westerly line of the old Fort Worth-Cleburne Interurban right-of-way approximately three hundred seventy (370) feet to the easterly end of the former Chicago, Rock Island and Gulf Railway right-of-way, near Sycamore Creek; and 2) The fifty (50) foot wide street right-of-way of McCurdy Avenue within the Vail Addition, from the south line of Brandt Street approximately one hundred sixty point five (160.5) feet to the north end of Vail Addition, including a ten (10) foot wide "reserved" strip located at the north end of the McCurdy Avenue right-of-way; and 3) The forty (40) foot wide street right-of-way of Brandt Street along the south side of Vail Addition, from the west line of Vail Addition and the east line of Block 55, Glenwood Addition, seventy point two (70.2) feet to the west line of McCurdy Avenue; and 4) The fifty (50) foot wide street right-of-way of Sycamore Street from the south bank of Sycamore Creek approximately forty (40} feet to the center of Sycamore Creek, between Block 6, McCurdy's Addition, and Block 5, King and Hendricks Addition; and 5) The fifty (50) foot wide street right-of-way of Wallace Street and the sixty (60) foot wide street right-of-way of Camilla Street at the intersection of the two streets from the westerly bank of Sycamore Creek to the center of Sycamore Creek, approximately forty-five (45) feet (from intersection of street center lines) along Wallace Street and approximately fifty-five (55) feet (between Creek bank and center) along Camilla Street; and 6) The sixty (60) foot wide street right-of-way of Vista Street (formerly Clement Street) from the westerly bank of Sycamore Creek approximately twenty-five (25) feet. to the center of Sycamore Creek, at the intersection of Vista Street with former Jesse Street (closed by City of Fort Worth Ordinance Number 3536); and 7) The street right-of-way of East Tucker Street from the east right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 287 to the east right-of-way line of Porter Street (closed by City of Fort Worth Ordinance Number 3535); and 8) The street right-of-way of Porter Street from the east right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 287 to the north right- of-way line of East Tucker Street (at the south point of Porter Street formerly closed by City of Fort Worth Ordinance Number 3535); and 9} The six (6) foot wide by approximately eighty (80) foot long easement located along the west property line of Lot 13, Block 2, Hollywood Addition; and 10 ) The eight ( 8 ) foot wide by approximately ninety ( 90 ) foot long easement located along the common rear line of Lots 3, 4, 10 and 11, Block 2, Hollywood Addition The above-described street rights-of-way and easements were dedicated by the following plats out of the James Sanderson Survey Abstract #1430, including all of Lots 1-5, Block 5, King and Hendricks Addition, Volume 204, Page 8, P.R.T.C.T.; all of Lots 1- 22, Block 22, all of Lot 1 and parts of Lots 2-7, Block 23, parts of Lots 1-8, Block 28, all of Lots 1-7, block 29, all of Lots 1-20, Block 30, all of Lots 1-20, Block 31, all in the W.J. Bowes Subdivision of portions of said King & Hendricks Addition, Volume 204A, Page 119, P.R T.C.T; all of Lots 7-22, Block 21, and all of Lots 1-20, Block 6, McCurdy's Addition (a revision of portions of said King and Hendricks Addition), Volume 204A, Page 78, P.R.T.C.T.; part of Lot 1, Block D, all of Lots 4-6, Block C, all of Lots 1-3, Block E, all of Lots 1-3, Block F, and all of Lots 1- 16, Block G, Carls Court, as recorded in Volume 388, Page 1, P.R.T.C.T.; all of Lots 1, 7 - 10, and parts of Lots 1 - 4, and Lots 11 - 13, Block 2, Hollywood Addition, as recorded in Volume 1060, Page 445, Tarrant County Deed Records; parts of Blocks 49 through 55, Glenwood Addition, as recorded in Volume 63, Page 76, P.R.T.C.T.; and all of Lots 1-3, Vail Addition, as recorded in ~, a Volume 370, Page 92, Deed of Records of Tarrant County, Texas; and tracts of land conveyed to the City of Fort Worth and/or the Tarrant County Water Control and Improvement District #1 and embracing former public streets vacated by City Ordinances. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street. rights-of-way and easements is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. DISCUSSION: The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth, in cooperation with the City of Fort Worth Department of Parks and Recreation, has requested that the City Council vacate the above-described streets and easements for the purpose of incorporating said streets and easements into one lot for development of the Sycamore Golf Course. The subject streets and easements do not contain any utility facilities. Reviewing City Departments and private utility companies have raised no objections to this request.
