AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL REVENUE FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $57,609 00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM THE FULLER FOUNDATION, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for the Fiscal Year 1992-93 and in the Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Revenue Fund in the amount of $57,609 00 for the purpose of accepting donations from the Fuller Foundation for the purpose of funding a gardener and a groundskeeper position to maintain the Fuller Garden in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. SECTION 2. Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections; or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 11151 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 4 This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained. Accept a gift from the Fuller Foundation, Inc. in the amount of $57,609.00 for the purpose of funding the salary and benefits for the Gardener and Groundskeeper to maintain the Fuller Garden in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden for a period of twelve (12) months, and 2. Adopt the attached appropriations ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by $57,609.00, in the .Special Trust Fund, from increased revenues, and 3. Approve the expenditure of $57,609.00 in the Special Trust Fund for the purpose of funding one Gardener position and one Groundskeeper position at the Botanic Garden. DISCUSSION: The Fuller Foundation, Inc. has announced a gift of $57,609.00 to the Park and Recreation Department to fund for twelve (12) months the salary and benefits of a Gardener II and Groundskeeper II to maintain the Fuller Garden in the Botanic Garden. The Fuller Foundation has announced its intention to contribute in the future to continue the funding of these positions. FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: T e Director of Fiscal Services certifies that upon receipt of contributions discussed above, and adoption of the appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the Special Trust Fund.
